Pioneer Day 2004 was a great success! It was delightful to watch new hands share skills passed on through several generations. The weather was beautiful - the demonstrations were interesting and engaging, and the people who came to visit were gracious and appreciative of all efforts. We owe a special thanks to a lot of Museum members who work tirelessly to make this day interesting and fun, but most especially to Chuck McCulley! The amount of effort expended in arranging for and acquiring exhibitors is large. We also had a lot of help from local merchants who contributed time, labor and materials to make this work. We appreciate everyone who helps makes this day so much fun and so successful.
A word about the photos: There are about a dozen up now, all from my camera. I was stuck in the back room during much of the morning trying to get nametags and signage finished, so I know I didn't get enough photos.... Leslie Mastalarz will be adding to this album, and anyone else who has the capability to e-mail me more good ones is invited to BRING 'EM ON! Just click on the "HeadsUp" at the bottom of any page and send them. If you have hard copies only, I can scan them and send your originals back. E-mail me for more info.
